On May 26th, the Semi-Finals of the 24th Star of Outlook English Talent Competition in Chongqing were successfully completed in the auditorium of Maple Leaf International School - Chongqing. A total of 98 students from our school participated. Because of their excellent presentation and fluent oral English skills, they stood out from the competition. Among the 98 contestants, 17 won the first prize, 69 won the second prize and 2 won the third prize, achieving a total promotion rate of 90%.
5月26日，第二十四届“希望之星”英语风采大赛重庆赛区半决赛在重庆枫叶国际学校报告厅圆满结束。我校幼小初高一共98名学生进入重庆赛区半决赛，他们凭借过硬的专业功底、流利的英语口语表达以及良好的综合素质，一路过关斩将，最终脱颖而出。重庆枫叶98名参赛选手，获得一等奖17人，二等奖69人，三等奖2人，总晋级率高达90%。

The Star of Outlook English Talent Competition, hosted by China Central Television (CCTV), is one of the most prestigious and professional competitions in the country. The participants in the competition are primarily students, encompassing all walks of life. It reaches millions of people nationwide, including Hong Kong and Macau, and has an unparalleled academic status and media influence. As an annual event held by CCTV, this contest is the highest level and largest-scale competition of its kind in China. The theme of this competition is "Tracing the Origins of Chinese Civilization, Inheriting Chinese Culture". Telling captivating Chinese stories in English aligns perfectly with Maple Leaf Educational Systems’ educational philosophy of “Blending the best of the East and West”. On the stage where the Star of Outlook and Maple Leaf International Schools cooperate together, the contestants showed their confidence and passion via their excellent English proficiency and other skills.
中央电视台“希望之星”英语风采大赛是国内最高规格的专业赛事之一，参赛选手以在校学生为主，来自包括香港、澳门在内的上万所学校，涉及其他各行各业，影响人数众多。作为每年在中央电视台举办的年度性赛事，该比赛一直以其无可比拟的学术地位与媒体影响力著称，被视为国内同类比赛中档次和规模最高的赛事。本次英语风采大赛主题为：溯源华夏文明，传承中国文化，旨在引导广大青少年用英语讲好中国故事，这样的比赛内容和形式高度契合枫叶国际学校“中西教育优化结合，实施素质教育的理念”的教育理念。在希望之星和枫叶国际学校双向奔赴的舞台上，同学们用英语搭台，以才艺为载体，展示着自信的风采，挥洒着青春的热情。
